Random Things That Make Me Really Happy...
- Sitting under trees in the sunshine.
- Watching The Butcher's Wife, the best little magical movie ever.
- Holding hands with my husband anytime, and eating his Sunday lunch sea bass in white wine and butter sauce.
- Going on wonderful workshops with Ariel & Shya Kane.
- Making cupcakes with my Mum, and then eating them together.
- Jumping into the air while doing Lindy Hop.
- Singing along to Mamma Mia with Meryl Streep.
- Hot chocolate, open fires and fluffy jumpers.
- The moment in a cinema, just before the film starts, when I'm snuggled down in my seat, and it might be the most beautiful film I've ever seen.
- Eating incredible chocolates. My absolute favourites: from Melt (the sea-salted caramel) in Notting Hill, London or Pure Dark (the chocolate-covered blueberries) in the West Village, New York.
- Re-reading Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen, After You'd Gone by Maggie O'Farrell, Dona Flor and her Two Husbands by Jorge Amado, Bel Canto by Ann Patchett, Sea Glass by Anita Shreve, and absolutely everything by Alice Hoffman...
